What We'll Cover:
This semester we'll cover "from Bach to Rock". More accurately, we'll begin by briefly studying the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia and Egypt, then Greece and Rome, and then early Roman Catholic Church. We'll learn how the music that we know today is decended from early music, and that for most of the last 2000 years, the Church was the whole reason for music.
